F/CM Transformation: New Unit, New Lobby, Renewed Commitment

fcm

We are pleased to announce a significant development within Facilities/Construction Management (F/CM). As part of our ongoing commitment to service excellence, F/CM has undergone a strategic restructuring that includes the creation of a new unit: Facilities Customer Relations & Communications (FCRC).

We’re proud to share that Assistant Vice Chancellor/Assistant Vice President Jennifer Rea will serve as the senior leader of this newly formed unit, which is designed to enhance customer engagement and improve communication across the University of Houston campus.

FCRC is comprised of two dedicated teams, each focused on delivering exceptional service and outreach:

  • Customer Relations Team
This team includes Customer Relations Managers and Customer Liaisons who will continue to manage and strengthen relationships with campus customers. Known as the FIXIT Frontline, they handle service requests and work orders with efficiency and care, working closely with other F/CM teams to ensure the right response is delivered every time.
  • Communications Team
Led by Assistant Director Erica Vazquez, this team will oversee outreach initiatives such as Outage Notifications and the Building Coordinator Program. Their mission is to expand and refine how we communicate with the campus community—delivering clearer, more timely information to a broader audience.

In addition to organizational changes, the UH Facilities front lobby within the General Services Building has been transformed to create a more inviting environment for students, faculty, and staff. The redesigned space now features a welcoming lobby while continuing to offer Key Access Services at the service counter—providing immediate assistance to all who visit.

We look forward to the positive impact this new unit and facility transformation will bring to the campus community. Thank you for your continued support as we work to build futures and maintain excellence in the way we serve the University of Houston.
