Houston, September 6, 2012 – Because the University of Houston is such a diverse campus, UH Dining Services is constantly working to offer the best variety to fit our students, faculty, and staff. One of the newest ways we are doing this is by bringing Tandoori Nite, a local Indian-style food truck, into a permanent location in the UC Satellite.
Ginny Mehra, the owner of Tandoori Nite, has been cooking for years and is the son and grandson of Indian chefs in Houston. His menu features a wide variety of entrees that will rotate out each week and include a mix of vegetarian, vegan, and meat dishes.
Tandoori Nite will occupy the old Cranberry Farms location in the UC Satellite food court, in between Burger Studio and Kim Son. It will open on Monday, Sept. 10, and will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday each week.
According to Mehra, all of Tandoori Nite's meats are kosher and halal, and all of the menu items are gluten and soy-free.
