Economics Professor Featured on VoxEU

Chin

The research of Department of Economics Associate Professor Aimee Chin has been featured on VoxEU.

Vox is a policy portal set up by the Centre for Economic Policy Research, which aims to promote research-based policy analysis and commentary by leading scholars.

Chin's research article is titled "English skills raise wages for some, not all, in India" and presents evidence from India that being fluent in English increases the hourly wages of men by 34% and of women by 22%.

Chin collaborated with Cornell University professor Nishith Prakash and World Bank Economist Mehtab Azam on the research.

Chin's research is in the fields of labor and development and she teaches courses in Intermediate Microeconomic Theory, Econometrics, and Developmental Economics.
