How do I get a METRO Q Card?

Follow the steps below to get a Student Discount Card and receive a 50% discount on all bus and METRORail rides:

Step 1: Send an email to LCC@uh.edu and request an enrollment verification letter for the METRO Q Card. Please allow at least one business day for the letter to be processed. The LCC will let you know once the letter is ready for pickup.

Step 2: Bring the items listed below. Visit the METRO Downtown Transit Center and purchase a Metro Q Card with a student discount.

• enrollment verification letter issued by the LCC
• passport
• Cougar Card (student ID card)

I don't have a car. How do I get to the Metro Downtown Transit Center?

Download a rideshare app and get a ride. Lyft and Uber rides are often cheaper than taxi rides.
