Certificates

At the graduation ceremony, the Language and Culture Center (LCC) awards two types of certificates to students: the Certificate of Successful Completion and the Certificate of Graduation.

 

I am a Level 1 through 5 student. What are the requirements to receive a Certificate of Successful Completion?

  • A passing grade in all skills
    • A Certificate of Successful completion is not awarded if a student earns an F in any skill in the second half of the term.
  • The required proficiency score for promotion
  • Sufficient attendance in all classes
    • Fewer than 40 hours of absence for Fall, Spring, and Summer students
    • Fewer than 20 hours of absence for Summer II students
  • Completion of all end-of-term assessments
    • MTELP
    • Writing Sample
    • Final Classroom Tests
  • Full payment of all tuition and fees

 

I am a Level 6 student. What are the requirements to receive a Certificate of Graduation?

  • A passing grade in all skills
    • Level 6 students are not eligible to graduate with an F in any skill in the second half of the term.
  • The required proficiency score for graduation
  • Sufficient attendance in all classes
    • Fewer than 40 hours of absence for Fall, Spring, and Summer students
    • Fewer than 20 hours of absence for Summer II students
  • Completion of the research paper
  • Completion of all end-of-term assessments
    • MTELP
    • Writing Sample
    • Final Classroom Tests
  • Full payment of all tuition and fees
