On-Campus Housing

At the University of Houston, on-campus housing is provided and overseen by Student Housing and Residential Life (SHRL). While you are not required to live on campus, the Language and Culture Center recommends that you live on campus for easy access to classes, the library, the gym, and many other activities and resources.

How do I apply for housing?

Apply online at uh.edu/housing/apply. Do it as soon as you are accepted to the LCC.

What are the on-campus housing options?

Visit the SHRL Housing Options page.

In which community may I live in?

To live in a residential area, you must meet certain requirements for that community. Visit the SHRL Residential Community Qualifications page and find out in which community (residence hall) you may live.

Are meal plans required?

Students living in Moody Towers, Cougar Village I, Cougar Village II, and Cougar Place are required to purchase a meal plan. Visit Meal Plan Terms and Conditions for details.
