Dr. Eunjoo Jin is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication in the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication at the University of Houston. She holds a Ph.D. in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research is to enhance persuasion and user engagement in computer-mediated communication and human-computer interaction. Based on social psychology, advertising/marketing, health/environmental communication, and human-computer interaction theories, she investigates how new media interfaces, technology affordances, and algorithms influence various dimensions of user psychology. Eunjoo’s work can be found in the journals such as Science Communication, Environmental Communication, Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, and Journal of Research in Interactive Marketing, to name a few.
