Earlier this semester, Bob Browand, director of Parking and Transportation Services addressed UH employees at Staff Council’s Conversations with Staff event.
During his fifteen-minute presentation, Browand covered a variety of topics including COAST, the department’s new alternative transportation program, as well as his team’s increase in outreach and communication efforts over the last year.
He also touched on plans for future projects, including a fifth parking garage that would be located near the Arts District.
Browand was invited to participate by Lynn Smith, a Staff Council representative who also serves on the Transportation and Parking Advisory Committee.
“Parking is a program that impacts the majority of staff in one form or another,” said Smith, a department business administrator within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. “Having Bob speak directly to staff will helped everyone better understand the role PTS plays in campus life.”
