Scholarship, Philanthropy Celebrated at 15th Annual Scholarship Banquet
The future is not only bright; it’s Cougar Red. Fort Bend County and University of Houston dignitaries, gathered at the UH Sugar Land Campus to recognize the academic accomplishments of students at the UH Sugar Land 15th Annual Scholarship Dinner.
“We congratulate all of our scholarship recipients and express our sincerest thanks to the generous donors who support their academic dedication,” said Robert McPherson, UH Sugar Land interim associate provost for academic affairs and operations. “These students are tremendous representatives of scholarship.”
The event, underwritten by the Fred and Mabel Parks Foundation, was held at the UH Sugar Land Campus Brazos Hall and featured dinner service from Safari Texas Ranch.
Two students addressed the audience to tell their stories of personal and academic accomplishment, and of the importance of their scholarship support.
