Awards Management Bulletin

The Office of Contracts and Grants (OCG) is established under the Division of Research to assist faculty in obtaining external funding to support their creative and scholarly activities. As such, OCG plays a role in helping the University fulfill its research, instruction and public service missions. In conjunction with college staff, OCG is tasked with the administrative and financial management of awards.


The Cancer Prevention & Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) is hosting a one-hour webinar for grantees with active CPRIT grants on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at 10 a.m. Department administrators with CPRIT awards are encouraged to attend. Topics to be covered include:

  • Recent administrative rule changes that impact grantees
  • Common financial errors made when submitting FSRs
  • The grant specialist program
  • A preview of Compliance Program activities, including the desk review and site review process

CPRIT staff will be available to answer grantee questions for an additional hour following the webinar.


The National Science Foundation (NSF) will be conducting a series of webcasts in November 2014 for faculty and research administrators from minority serving institutions. The webcasts will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 and Thursday, November 13, 2014, with two sessions on each day. Each of the four webcast sessions will cover different topics.

Registration is limited and interested participants are encouraged to register early.
