Sound Tests at TDECU Stadium Should Have Minimal Impact on Campus

Testing of the sound system at TDECU Stadium will start Friday, Aug. 8, and continue periodically through Aug. 20.

People in the area directly surrounding the stadium may hear some of the sounds from the testing, which will take place between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.

The majority of the testing will include white noise and music. A fire alarm sound will occasionally be played over the speakers.

Manhattan Construction, in conjunction with All-Pro Sound, will be conducting the testing in preparation for the completion of the stadium and the first football game, which will take place Friday, Aug. 29.

"This is an important and necessary step toward ensuring fans have a great experience in the new stadium," said Project Manager Lane Welter. "It should have a minimal impact on the campus community."
