Students Gain Real World Experience at Wolffest

By Greg Ortiz

Wolffest, originally started as BurgerFest, was first held on campus at The University of Houston in 2002. It was an idea, started by its own entrepreneurship students, to provide real-world scenarios for students to learn what it really takes to start a business. As with most entrepreneurs, they are constantly forced to innovate and add new components to an existing model.

The competition is a great opportunity for our students to understand the difference between planning for a business and operating a business.  As with most entrepreneurs, they are constantly forced to innovate and add new components to an existing model.

Now in its 14th year, Wolffest is bigger and better than ever.
