As the end of the spring semester at UH draws to a close, Student Housing and Residence Life (SHRL) recognized its student leaders at an awards banquet orchestrated by the department's recognition committee. During the ceremony, students receive individual and program awards, and the SHRLies serve as the inauguration ceremony for the Residence Hall Association and the National Residence Hall Honorary for the following year.

"Winning the Commitment to Student Success during the University of Houston 2019 SHRLies made me feel very proud of my accomplishments for the past three years in college," said Amanda Nardo.  "As a senior, and now only having nine days until graduation, it has summed up my love and dedication for my friends in every organization I join, and it has created a quality within myself that strives to support my friends' commitment to success."

Don Yackley, SHRL executive director said, "the SHRLies are long-standing department annual awards designed to recognize outstanding leadership and service to our mission and values."

Congratulations to the 2019 SHRLies Winners and all the students who were nominated for their exceptional leadership!
