MAPP 01.03.03 - Business Continuity Planning |
MAPP 01.03.03 was updated to
identify the four elements of the
business continuity plan (business
impact analysis, security risk
assessment, recovery strategy, and
disaster recovery plan) required by
TAC 202.74. The responsible party
was also updated. |

MAPP 06.05.03 - Motor Vehicle Record Evaluation |
In response to a regulatory audit
MAPP 06.05.03 was updated to require
MVR checks for all employees that
operate any vehicle for university
business (not just university owned
or leased).
Section II.B. was
removed which states that the MVR
consists of three years of in and
out of state records. Out of state
licenses were specifically
identified as ineligible to operate
university owned or leased vehicles.
The responsible party was also
updated. |

MAPP 07.02.01 - Fire and Life Safety Code |
The following responsibilities were
added to the fire marshal: issue
permits for commercial tent
installations, permits for temporary
impairment of fire protection
systems, and permits for the
installation of fire protection
systems. Position titles were also
updated in MAPP 07.02.01 as was the
responsible party. |

Proposed MAPP 10.03.07 -
E-mail Retention and Discovery |
The proposed MAPP 10.03.07 was
written to to comply with state and federal law, to preserve e-mails which are state records of the
university, to demonstrate fiscal responsibility by eliminating the need for unnecessary computer file.

Suggestion: A web site was created for users to aid with e-mail retention guidelines. An information flowchart is posted at this new web site, along with a FAQ and wizard to guide the user through the flowchart process. Response: Changes incorporated.
