U.S. Hispanic Studies (M.A.)
The Master of Arts in U.S. Hispanic Studies provides students with an opportunity to gain the knowledge and skillset needed to excel at teaching Spanish and Hispanic cultures for heritage language learners. The program focuses on preparing students of varying professional backgrounds to teach Hispanic heritage in the areas of film, history education, language diversity, as well as several other topics.
The program is ideal for professionals who are searching for a flexible schedule while earning a degree in four semesters. This Master’s program consists of 10 courses, and a 6-hour thesis, or community project. Future graduates will acquire the expertise in critical areas that are impacting the everyday life of the U.S. Hispanic community and utilize these skills to successfully work in the community and in global environments. Students who complete this program will also earn the Certificate in Spanish as a Heritage Language.
