They’re doing a telethon to raise money for their production of The Tempest. In their conversations with the citizens of the town, the story of The Tempest re-emerges as their own, creating a daring and hilarious new vision of Shakespeare’s classic. A modern surrealist classic from one of America’s most inventive playwrights, Mickle Maher, who also directs this production.

The Formosa Quartet will perform a selection of the string quartets of Beethoven as part of the University of Houston Moores School of Music Beethoven Festival.

The concert features the Moores School Jazz Orchestra with guest artists David Caceres, Warren Sneed, and Woody Witt, saxophones.
