MGH Program Information

The Master of Science in Global Hospitality Business (MS GHB) is a unique and truly global program that will allow you to experience three world-class campuses in three different continents, giving you a competitive and international edge to lead and excel in the demanding arena of hospitality management. The program also provides students the opportunity to obtain three professional certifications during the course of the curriculum to expand professional leadership abilities. An integral component of the curriculum is the Capstone Consulting Project. Students are required to complete an industry-based research project that relates to current issues in a hospitality environment.

There are three professional certificates offered as a part of the program - one per semester per school:

  • EHL - Managing Hotel Demand by Snapshot
  • Hong Kong PolyU - Doing Deals and Valuing Hotels by HVS
  • UH - Industry Analytics Training by STR Global

The traditional master's program is designed for students who have limited professional and managerial experience related to hospitality management. The global hospitality business program was developed to enable graduates to meet the intellectual and practical challenges of managing dynamic careers in the international hospitality sector.

The program is 16 months long and begins each September.

A cohort is a group of students who progress through the program together taking the same courses at the same time. As a member of a cohort, you will have opportunities to build professional relationships with your fellow classmates.

Please contact our program director for questions about the program at HiltonGlobalMS@uh.edu

Many of our faculty are internationally recognized researchers who are involved in cutting-edge research projects with industry partners. To learn more, visit our Faculty Directory for individual bios and CVs.

Applicants first apply to the school they select for their degree granting institution. After approved admission, the student will then complete admission procedures for the other two schools. All three school coordinators assist the students with all procedures including admissions, visa paperwork, and enrollment of courses.
