Prof. Gabriel received the NSF Faculty Early Career Development Award

Prof. Gabriel received the NSF Faculty Early Career Development Award to perform research into dynamic run-time optimization of parallel applications. The award comes from the Division of Computer and Network Systems, and can span up to 5 years with a total budget of $410,000. The main objective of the proposed research is to increase the performance portability of parallel applications across a wide range of architectures by introducing novel self-tuning techniques and performance aware communication components.
