Andrew Werner is an adjuct professor in the Honors College at the University of Houston. His work focuses on Kant and German idealism and 20th century continental philosophy. Werner tries to put figures in these traditions in touch with concerns of contemporary philosophers, especially around issues related to the nature and sources of empirical knowledge and skepticism. Before joining the Honors College, Werner taught at the University of Chicago, the Art Institute at Chicago, Amherst College and Yale University. In addition, Werner has started the nonprofit, Adventures in Thinking, which attempts to make philosophy available to high school students.
