As a program manager for Engaged Data Science at the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute (HPE DSI), Karina supports programs that enable undergraduate students to engage with and learn from their community, including Honors in Community Health (HICH) and Project Engagement Encouraging Rising Students (PEERS). She also works on program evaluation for HICH, undergraduate project-based learning courses and the Community Health Worker Initiative (CHWI). Karina earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Houston, and motivated by her own experiences with community service as a student, including HICH, she completed her master of public health degree in management, policy and community health at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
