The Oresteia by Ellen McLaughlin

Friday, April 16, 2021

8:00 pm - 10:30 pm

Through ten years of war, grief and rage, Queen Clytemnestra lies in wait for her husband Agamemnon’s return from Troy, desperate to avenge her sacrificed daughter’s death. But justice for one child, only means doom for the others.

The sole surviving trilogy in Greek tragedy, The Oresteia chronicles a deluge of violence that can only be stopped when society peers into its own soul and sees the depths of its complicity. This epic new interpretation of a pillar of western culture weaves together the ancient stories of Aeschylus with stunning poetry and emotional heft.

This event will be streamed virtually Friday and Saturday, April 16th and 17th at 8:00 PM and Sunday, April 18th at 2:00 PM. To view this performance, register for a free ticket here
