In the Blood is one of Suzan-Lori Parks’ Red Letter plays. It is a riff on Nathaniel Hawthorne’s The Scarlett Letter. We encounter the life of Hester La Negrita, a mother five, homeless and living under a bridge. Used by the system and deadbeat men; Hester attempts to find joy and hope through her children only to encounter devastating consequences.
This play will be presented virtually beginning Thursday, April 22nd at 8:00pm and will be available for a timed stream rental until Sunday, April 25th at 11:00pm.
