Lack
Master
Series
at
the
University
of
Houston’s
Moores
School
of
Music
hosts
annual
masterclasses
and
recitals
by
renowned
classical
performers
and
educators.
Established
in
memory
of
Abram
I.
Lack
in
1989,
the
endowment
supports
this
educational
initiative.
The
series,
named
after
Lack’s
daughter,
violinist
Fredell
Lack
Eichhorn,
who
held
the
C.
W.
Moores
Professor
of
Violin
position
at
the
university
for
50
years,
offers
enriching
experiences
for
students
and
the
Houston
community.
Past
guests
include
violinists
like
Pinchas
Zukerman
and
Midori,
vocalists
like
Marilyn
Horne,
pianists
like
Christoph
Eschenbach,
and
composers
like
Philip
Glass.
