Mitchell Center Artist in Residence Preston Gaines wraps up his residency with a solo exhibition featuring new work. Gaines, also known as Inanimate Nature, is an artist, architect, and industrial designer based in Houston whose work blurs the boundaries between what is natural and what is artificial, exploring the intersection of geometry, nature, and sacred symbolism.
