Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Planned for New Katy Academic Building

The University of Houston and the University of Houston-Victoria officially will open their new academic building in Katy, Monday, Oct. 14.

The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony begins at 2 p.m. at the facility, 22400 Grand Circle Blvd., Katy, Texas. UH System Chancellor Renu Khator, UH at Katy Associate Vice President Jay Neal and University of Houston-Victoria President Robert “Bob” Glenn are among the speakers.

“The programs offered here reflect the professional opportunities available to our graduates,” Neal said. “We worked with stakeholders and were very intentional in the programs we wanted to offer. We are pleased to bring their vision to fruition.”

Construction for the 80,000-square-foot facility began in May 2018.

The University of Houston-Victoria is offering graduate and undergraduate programs in business, education and liberal arts.

The University of Houston at Katy is offering graduate and undergraduate programs in nursing and engineering.
