Daniel Price, PhD is an Associate Clinical Professor at the College of Medicine and the Honors College at the University of Houston. He is the director of the Community Health Worker Initiative and co-Director of Data Analytics in Student Hands. He is the author of many publications in philosophy, including fundamental approaches to ethics and community. His work on the Community Health Worker Initiative was honored with the Shelby Hodge Vision Award from the AIDS Foundation Houston in 2018, and has been featured in the Houston Chronicle, among other media. He has been teaching in various roles at the University of Houston since 2000. He is a Texas certified Community Health Worker Instructor and teaches certification classes as well as undergraduate courses in community health.

Donaji Stelzig, DrPH, MPH, LCCE, CHES, CHWI is a visiting assistant professor and the director of the Community Health Worker (CHW) Training Center in the Honors College at University of Houston. She has dedicated her public health career to design, plan and implement educational community programs and events that provide equal health opportunities to ethnic and minority underserved groups. This includes work with in maternal health and early childhood development, care coordination and case management with diverse and vulnerable populations, and cancer education.

Andew Kapral, M.Ed is the director of Engaged Data Science, the Engaged Data Science initiative is a collaboration between the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Data Science Institute (HPE DSI) and the Honors College. Andrew Kapral has been with UH since 2010 and was previously director of the STEM Teaching Equity Project. Prior to joining UH, Kapral worked at Rice University in Houston, Texas, and as a Houston Independent School District fourth and fifth grade science teacher. As director of Engaged Data Science, he will be using project-based learning experiences to develop a pipeline of students prepared to pursue post-secondary education and career pathways in data science.

Cindy Paz, PMP, CHES, CHWI is the program manager of our Initiative. As program manager, she designs and implements different projects and provides community health workers with the guidance and support needed to establish health projects in their communities. In addition to the management of programs, she manages the operations for the Initiative and is a CHW instructor.
