University of Houston Dining Services is seeking confident, organized individuals who are looking for the chance to develop leadership roles, gain work experience and strengthen managerial skills.
The UH Dining peer leadership team is a position that gives students the opportunity to develop leadership and marketing skills while learning more about day-to-day business.
“I started working with the leadership team this semester and really enjoy writing news releases and meeting new people,” said Nikolai Robinson, a public relations major.
A peer leader’s duties include sales, special events and promoting UH Dining around campus.
“We decorate for several events in the dining halls and speak at student orientations, and right now I am working on an accounting project,” said Karina Castillo, an accounting and finance major. “I would encourage students to join this program because it opens doors to great opportunities and references.”
