During Homecoming Week (Oct. 30 - Nov. 7), several University of Houston departments decorated their offices for the 2017 Spirit Bell Competition. The Office of Real Estate Services won second place in this campus-wide competition for its display.
In honor of this year's Homecoming theme, "There's No Place Like Houston," Real Estate Services took characters and motifs from "The Wizard of Oz" and infused them with Cougar and Houston spirit.
The unique decorations included the "yellow brick road" turned red and lined with Cougar paws, Dorothy's house transformed into a "Coogs House" that crushed the Wicked Witch of East Carolina, and a #GoCoogs stand-in set where visitors could take pictures.
