Karin Livingston has been selected to succeed Assistant Vice President for Finance and Controller Mike Glisson. She assumed her new role as of July 17.
Glisson, who has worked for the University of Houston for 28 years, is retiring Aug. 31.
Livingston has 19 years of accounting and auditing experience, 15 of which have been with UH. She most recently served as Executive Director for Accounting Services for nine years.
She will be working closely with Glisson over the next few weeks on a smooth transition within the Controller’s Office.
“There were many qualified candidates who applied for the position, but Karin rose to the top quickly,” said Senior Associate Vice Chancellor/Vice President of Finance Raymond Bartlett.
