The Honors College welcomed Professor James Ceaser for the 2010 Academic Tailgate. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni joined us for food, conversation, and a presentation on The Meaning of the Midterm Elections. The event was sponsored by The Honors College and the Phronesis Politics and Ethics Program.

James CeaserJames Ceaser is Harry F. Byrd Professor of Politics at the University of Virginia and a visiting senior fellow at the Hoover Institution. He has written several books on American politics and political thought, including Presidential Selection, Liberal Democracy and Political Science, Reconstructing America, and Nature and History in American Political Development. He has also coauthored a series on American national elections since 1992, the most recent of which, published last month, is entitled Epic Journey: the 2008 Election and American National Politics. Professor Ceaser is a frequent contributor to the popular press, and he often comments on American Politics for the Voice of America.
