Career Highlights:
Zhanyue Zhang (Lucy) has a comprehensive background in the academia of the hospitality and tourism industry. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Hotel Administration at the Conrad N. Hilton College, University of Houston, under the supervision of Dr. Minwoo Lee and Dr. Agnes L. DeFranco.
Zhanyue’s research interest focus on how emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) (Generative AI), enhance customer experiences and the corresponding responsibilities of companies, especially regarding Appropriate Technology or Responsible AI and service marketing innovation in the hospitality and tourism industry. She is skilled in conducting systematic literature reviews, analyzing data using advanced methods like PLS-SEM, and developing conceptual frameworks.
With a high passion in the hospitality and tourism industry, Zhanyue start her academic journey from the Macao University of Tourism with a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management. Later, she completed Master of Science in International Hospitality Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
In addition to her academic achievements, Zhanyue has gained diverse professional experience in customer service, marketing research, and project management. She has worked on projects such as designing digital literacy training programs, producing detailed industry reports, and supporting hospitality operations. Her work reflects a strong commitment to integrating digital innovation and sustainability into the hospitality and tourism industry.
