Choose the ABA program that matches your career goals: 
  • Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis: Prepare for certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), working under the supervision of a BCBA. Complete the program in as little as one year. 
  • M.Ed. in Special Populations — Applied Behavior Analysis: Prepare for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the field’s graduate-level credential. Complete the program in as few as four semesters. 
  • Interested in another M.Ed. emphasis? The M.Ed. in Special Populations also offers options in general special education, teacher certification, educational diagnostician certification and special education leadership.

UH's Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs focus on evidence-based strategies that promote positive behavior change. You will learn how to design, implement and evaluate behavioral interventions to help individuals with autism or other special needs.

You can complete the M.Ed. in Special Populations (ABA emphasis) in four semesters.

You can complete the Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis in one year.
