STAFF EXCELLENCE AWARD
GREEN RECEIVES HONOR FOR WORK ETHIC
Over the years, Beverly Green’s co-workers
have become well aware of her professional strengths, but recently,
they saw a different side of her.
“When I found out that they nominated me for a Staff Excellence
Award, I cried in front of them,” said Green, custodian supervisor
for UH’s Residential Life and Housing. “They called
be a big baby.”
Green’s reaction might have provoked some friendly teasing,
but everyone certainly recognizes her work ethic and dedication
to the university. She has been a staff member for 25 years.
“Her devotion to duty is the highest in our department,”
wrote one
co-worker in an award nomination letter. “She always exhibits
a high degree of professionalism and demonstrates a willingness
to go beyond her assigned duties.”
The award includes a $1,000 check.
