One of Lee’s former students wrote in a letter of support,
“He has mindfully integrated undergraduate research and mentoring
throughout his academic career to reinforce his outstanding work
as a research scientist.” The student is now a doctoral chemistry
candidate.
The $5,000 award honors the practice of mentoring in undergraduate
research and scholarship.
