University Information Technology will perform maintenance to the wireless network on September 2, 2021 between 4:00-6:00am. During that time wireless services may be unavailable for up to 30 minutes. These proactive changes are at the recommendation of our W-Fi vendor with the goal of providing optimal services.  Wi-Fi services should stabilize by 6:00am.

We believe that we have resolved the WiFi issue that users were experiencing during the first week of class. All indicators are that the system is stable and performing well and with no random user disconnects. UHSecure is available for wireless connections utilizing your CougarNet Login.

The UH Wi-Fi network is large, complex and critical to student success. This week, the Wi-Fi network has been randomly disconnecting a small percentage users. Our network team has made this their highest priority has been working tirelessly with the manufacturer to identify and solve the problem.  We will be performing upgrades and making adjustments to the network to correct the problem tonight.
