Entanglements Lecture: TAKK

Tuesday, February 4, 2025

6:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Material Ecologies

“Material Ecologies” presents a set of long term investigations materialized in the projects developed by TAKK // Mireia Luzárraga + Alejandro Muiño, a research driven design office with headquarters in Barcelona and New York that investigates how architecture can catalyze the development of more fair lives by incorporating feminist thought and ecology into spatial practices. These research lines are grounded in Posthuman Studies and emphasize the importance of moving away from human exceptionalism, especially the perspectives shaped by modern, male, white, and heterosexual viewpoints. This shift is essential for establishing a new, more democratic relationship between us and all other living beings on the planet.
