Justin Phillip Reed: Scholarly Lecture

Join the English Department and UH Creative Writing Program in welcoming Martha Gano Visiting Scholar Justin Phillip Reed for a spooky & scholarly lecture at the occasion of 30th anniversary of Korn and the 22nd anniversary of Queen of the Damned. All are welcome, no RSVP required.

Justin Phillip Reed is an American writer and amateur bass guitarist. His preoccupations include horror cinema, ideological failure, and uses of the grotesque. He is author of the hybrid text, With Bloom Upon Them and Also With Blood: A Horror Miscellany, released on Halloween 2023, as well as two poetry collections,The Malevolent Volume and Indecency, winner of the National Book Award. Reed is Writer-in-Residence at Clemson University.
