Data Management Best Practices for UH Researchers

Management of research data is a critical component of effective, sustainable research and a necessity in the current research environment. Santi Thompson, Associate Librarian and Associate Dean for Research and Student Engagement at UH Libraries, and Claudia Neuhauser, Associate Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer and Director of the HPE Data Science Institute, will lead an interactive workshop on the essential elements of data management for UH researchers across disciplines along with available resources and guidance.

- Storage and back-up
- Data access, ownership, and data privacy
- The new NIH data sharing requirements
- Compliance with funder and university policies
- Data archiving and sharing
- Data curation and reproducibility
