dietitian newsletter

Houston, March 3, 2017 — University of Houston Dining Services will celebrate Registered Dietitian Day in the Fresh Food Company in Moody Towers from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 8.

To celebrate Registered Dietitian Day, UH Dining's registered dietitian, Danielle McFeron, will host a dietitian awareness event complete with games and free giveaways. McFeron will be at the event to educate guests on different resources they can use to make healthier choices when dining on campus. She hopes to see students, faculty and staff at the event.

Registered Dietitian Day was first celebrated in 2008 to recognize registered dietitians for their hard work in educating and assisting the public live a healthier lifestyle by enjoying a well-balanced diet. To spread awareness for registered dietitian services, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics celebrates this day annually.
