Human Resources once again hosts student interns
 
As part of the continued commitment to student success, Human Resources is hosting student interns once again this semester.

This fall, three student interns from the Human Resource Development degree program have joined the department. These internships are the capstones of their program and will prepare them for employment upon graduation. Each intern is expected to learn about department operations as well as a specialized topic that they can then present to their classmates at the end of the semester.

The internship program offers the students a real HR experience in one or more primary areas of the department. The HR staff benefit from the program by having the opportunity to connect what they do in their work life directly with the student success mission of the university.

This fall's interns and their semester projects are:

• Alaida Ramirez - Benchmark, design, and conduct a sample test of a step-by-step process for conducting an internal audit of federally mandated I-9 forms.
• Simrah Hasan - Learn online training best practices, including methodology for department needs analysis and system integration requirements. Develop an online training course using Adobe Captivate.
• Ashley Mahoney - Learn how to design and deliver new training to constituents, with an emphasis on instructional design. Develop a Student Worker Success training for managers of student workers.
