Damaged Recycling Bins Undergo
Repair
More
than 30 of the recycling bins on
campus have been damaged, and will
soon undergo a facelift to be
functional for the start of classes.
These recycling bins have been
dented on campus largely by golf
carts or other motorized vehicles
that navigate the sidewalks.
Rather than be replaced, which is
more costly, most of the bins will
be repaired. A rubber mallet will
fix the dents from the inside,
permitting full use of the bins
space once again.
Only about 5 bins will need to be
replaced due to irreparable damage.
The University of Houston is proud
to promote a green campus, and
encourages all Cougars to make use
of these recycling bins.
