The campus is abuzz about the
Department of Public Safetys new
electronic traffic updates. UHDPS in
currently running a Twitter feed
that will be updated concerning
parking lot and traffic issues
http://twitter.com/uh_traffic.
You can either follow the feed
through your own Twitter account, or
simply check the site when you want
the current conditions. To go along
with Twitter is the new UHDPS
parking lot capacity map which shows
up-to-date lot capacity and traffic
problems -
https://www.uh.edu/police/UHlotmap.html.
For convenience, both of these can
be accessed from your mobile device.
UHDPS has also created a site where
offense reporting can be done online
at your convenience. This form is
not to be used to report crimes that
are in progress, traffic collisions,
or other incidents that would
require an immediate response. In
those instances, you should dial 911
or call the UHDPS dispatch center at
713-743-3333. This form would be
used to report minor crimes such as
unattended/unsecured thefts that
occurred on the property on the
University of Houston (UH) campus,
UH Sugar Land, UH Cinco Ranch and UH
Victoria.

To help the entire campus community,
the administration also maintains a
MySafeCampus account for reporting
fraud, waste or abuse or anything
else worth reporting. MySafeCampus
is the tool which lets you
participate in making the campus a
better place. Reporting an incident
or action can be completely
confidential.
