March for Babies Candy Sales Raffle

The Department of Public Safety had several fundraisers during the recent March for Babies campaign. One of those fundraisers was selling candy bars. The department offered a chance to win a barbecue set each and every time an individual purchased a single candy. At the end of the candy bar sales, Chief Malcolm Davis randomly selected the ticket belonging to Ms. Sharon Chavez. The barbecue set was presented to Ms. Chavez, and she was elated.

Ms. Chavez is a graduate of the University of Houston. She worked at the University of Houston Department of Public Safety as a Cougar Patrol Member while attending classes at the University of Houston. Currently, Ms. Chavez is a Financial Assistant at the Department of Public Safety. When asked what she will be doing with the new barbecue set she replied, �My dad will really be able to use this.� Congrats Sharon!
