Rewards for Recycled Paper
In late April, Todays Business
Solutions distributed rebate checks
totaling $6,027.90 to UH departments
that purchased at least $100 of
recycled paper between October 1,
2010 and March 31, 2011. Departments
spent a total of $121,932.88 on
recycled paper during the six month
period, which is 63% more than the
previous six months.
In addition, the following
departments each received 20,000 HP
Points for purchasing the most
recycled paper, which they can use
to purchase Hewlett Packard
equipment and supplies:
 University Libraries
 Human Development and Consumer
Science
 Dean, Optometry
 Dean, Engineering
Here is how a couple of the
departments used their HP Points:
 The M.D. Anderson Library used
their points to replace an old
printer that is used by students in
the library.
 The Cullen College of Engineering
used their points to purchase a
printer for a computer lab where
undergraduate and graduate students
work on class projects.
Thanks to everyone who chose to buy
recycled paper and make UH more
green.
