College of Architecture Gears up for Summer Upgrades
Now that the spring
semester has come to an end, the
College of Architecture is
undergoing $526,000 worth of minor
construction and renovations that
will last through the summer.
Beginning the week of May 17th, a
variety of work began, including the
following:
1. Lighting upgrades will be
installed in the atrium
2. The outdoor cupola will be
resealed and receive a new skylight,
and will provide adequate protection
from exterior leaks
3. Room 150 auditorium will receive
lighting retrofit that will bring
lighting up to industry standards,
and will also be Fire Marshal
compliant
4. Fourth floor remediation work
will enhance indoor air quality
5. The library renovation, rare book
retribution and mechanical room
sealing will be completed, and
6. Room 144 will be renovated, a
project that will be overseen
jointly by Minor & Planned Projects
and the Skilled Trades departments.
