UH Printing and Postal Services 7th Annual Customer Appreciation Day

UH Printing and Postal Services hosted their 7th annual Customer Appreciation Day on Friday, June 22nd. This event is held in June each year and an ice cream social is what our customers continue to request. There is something about summer and ice cream that just seem to make people happy and this is what this event is all about.

This was our biggest event ever. 100+ customers were in attendance this year and they were treated to the usual array of items used to build their own sundae vanilla and chocolate ice cream plus nuts, sauces and various fixings. Besides the ice cream they could also choose from cookies, brownies and chocolate covered strawberries which proved to be a big hit again. These treats are always provided by Catering on Cullen, which makes it a real campus affair.

This event allows the UH Print and Postal staff members to actually sit down and talk to the customers whose jobs they have produced during the school year. It allows them to put a face to a name that they normally just see on their job tickets. Customers who are new to the campus or who have never come by were treated to tours of the facility as well.

This year we wanted to draw our customers attention to our new service offerings from our wide format printer and also how they can utilize our new FSC certification logos on their printed mail pieces to show everyone that their college and UH Printing and Postal Services participate in a green environment program. New items were displayed including large banners, yard signs, posters of varying size placed on foam core or retractable stands and a new material called
WindowShock this film allows you to print your sign and place it in a window without the need for additional mounting methods.

Everyone was able to watch jobs being printed on the wide format printer. It was a fun and informative event for everyone.
