East Parking Garage Opens to UH Faculty and Staff

The East Parking Garage, located on Calhoun parallel to Spur 5 and across from Calhoun Lofts, is now available to faculty and staff members at the University of Houston.

The garage has been open since November 2009, but it has recently opened up to include faculty and staff parking.

Interested commuters should visit the Welcome Center garage to purchase a permit. Spring and summer permits are $293 and spring only are $259. Those who already hold a garage permit may change their current permit to the East Parking Garage at no additional cost.

Scott Mason, Program Manager for Educational Technology and University Outreach, was one of the first to receive one of these staff permits for the East Parking Garage.

On his experience, Mason said, �I got the permit last week, and it was a very easy, smooth process. I have been parking there for a week and it was an easy transition. If you want to upgrade, it is very simple.�
