UC SATELLITE IMPROVES CUSTOMER SERVICE
Go ahead
and charge it. Now lines are moving
faster at Kim Son and Smoothie King
at the UC Satellite thanks to some
modifications to their credit card
processors. Auxiliary Services has
recently switched out the outdated
analog lines to new and improved
data lines meaning faster
authorizations and better customer
service.
During the busy hours, lines could
get longer due to the time it took
to run a credit card. With analog
lines, the process was taking
anywhere from 10 to 20 seconds. By
switching to data lines, this
process has decreased to only 1 to 3
seconds, improving the speed of
service dramatically.
Continuing to seek opportunities to
meet and exceed our customers
expectations is an integral part of
what we do, said Esmeralda Valdez,
Executive Director of Auxiliary
Services. By converting the lines
from analog to data, we hope to have
enriched the overall experience at
both Kim Son and Smoothie King.
Next on the agenda is the Smoothie
King at the UH Recreation and
Wellness Center. The Smoothie King
is scheduled to undergo some space
enhancements over the holiday break.
Once completed, the data lines will
be put in place to keep customers
satisfied.
