Facilities & Equipment
UIT offers presentation and multimedia equipment to support classroom instruction, training on equipment use, and assistance in designing multimedia classroom environments.
Computer labs are available to faculty, staff and students. Located all around the campus, these labs are not managed by UIT.
A variety of telephones, wireless devices, and telephone services, including long-distance authorization, are available for faculty and staff.
Students are able to print at two kiosks on campus.
The Technology Commons Support Center is the primary computing lab for UH. Managed by UIT and located in the basement of M.D. Anderson Library, rm. 56, it provides more than 150 Macintosh and Windows-based computer workstations, scanners, and printers.
The UIT Streaming Media group offers H.323 videoconferencing to conduct meetings, classes and training with other UH System units, universities and organizations worldwide.
