Welcome to the Hobby Center for Public Policy
Established in 1981, the Hobby Center for Public Policy serves the Houston community as an impartial research organization within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Houston.
The two-week institute teaches the NSF-inspired three-step EITM framework. The purpose of this framework is to establish a transparent relation between theory and test and lead to cumulation of knowledge.
The Hobby Center for Public Policy's Civic Houston Internship Program (CHIP) offers government internships to University of Houston students each fall and spring semester. Since its inception, the program has placed over 1000 interns in local political offices.
